Gazebo Roof, Rufus City Park (NY): Tin-Look Stainless Shingles

Bottom line

This gazebo roof is all about layout and craftsmanship. Every shingle row changes size as the roof widens, so nothing is “one size fits all.”

The project

This gazebo in Rufus City Park (New York) was finished with ROOFINOX HFX stainless shingles in the TIN (terne) design, made to get that classic gray patina look without using traditional terne materials.

Why this roof is hard (and why it looks so good)

On a round roof like this, the circumference changes on every row. That means:

  • Each row needs its own shingle layout

  • Pieces get adjusted as the roof flares out

  • The lines still need to stay clean, even on curves

  • It’s slow work, but it shows in the finished roof

This is the kind of job where the installer’s skill is the whole story.
